Für mich sind API und Schnittstelle gleichbedeutend
(Application programming interface = (wörtl.) Anwendungs Programmierungs Anschluss -> Schnittstelle)
Aber mit Schnittstelle meinst du wahrscheinlich die Datei, die man im VMS braucht, um die benötigten Funktionen bereitzustellen?
